Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections are used in orthopaedics for conditions such as knee osteoarthritis, Achilles tendinitis, and tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis).
PRP is prepared by processing the patient’s own blood to concentrate the platelets, which are then injected into the affected area.
PRP is sometimes considered as a treatment option before surgical intervention.
A referral from your GP is needed to access this service.
Hyaluronan - Lubricating injections
Hyaluronan is a naturally occurring substance in joint fluid that helps lubricate and cushion the joint.
